Hungarian Cultural Association becomes registered charity

The Hungarian Cultural Association (Guildford, Surrey) has become a registered charity in England and Wales with effect from 4 October 2011. The HCA's registered charity number is: 1144110.

The charity is also as a company limited by guarantee and all our official documents will reflect the new name, but our activities and team are unchanged and we will continue to use the name Hungarian Cultural Group and all our members will continue to be beneficiary members of the new organisation.

The Directors and Trustees of the organisation are: Katalin Hegedus, Reka Grabler, Edit Weigl-Gibby and Maria Chambers.

Following the AGM on 24 September 2011, the Hungarian Cultural Group, Guildford has closed, transferring all its activities and assets to the Hungarian Cultural Association.

The Trustees would like to thank to everybody who supported the group since September 2008 when our journey began; especially to the team and management of the group who believed in our mission and worked incredibly hard to achieve this goal. We are looking forward to working with all our existing and new volunteers and members to celebrate Hungarian culture and build on the excellent community spirit.
